As world celebrating breastfeeding week 01st to 08 August 2013 I remember my defence service.. During my service we had tried to convey this issue to our soldiers and their family through a Fancy Dress in our Regiment Raising day celebration Year 2003-04 at Bathinda Cantt. The show was to encourage breastfeeding and how to improve the health of babies around the soliders family. Please see the attached photograph wherein myself, Mr Vijaya Ragavan (Radio Operator-RHQ Tp) , Boychild S/O Mr Surender Singh and Petdog of Capt Inderjit Panjarath took part in the "Fancy Dress". അമ്മിഞ്ഞ പാലിനോടകില്ല വേറൊരു അമൃതം സൈനിക ജീവിതത്തിൽ പ്രഛന്നവേഷമത്സരത്തിനു ഒരു അവസരം കിട്ടിയപ്പോൾ ആദ്യമായി ചിന്തിച്ചത് കുട്ടികളെ മുലയൂട്ടുവാൻ അമ്മമാരെ ബോധവൽകിരിക്കുന്ന ആശയമാണ്. 1994-95-ൽ ബണ്ടിൻണ്ട (പഞ്ചാബ് ) സൈനിക ക്യാബിൽ ഞങ്ങളുടെ റെജിമെന്റിന്റെ വാർഷിക ആഘോഷപരിപാടിയിൽ അവതരിപ്പിച്ച പ്രഛന്നവേഷ ചിത്രമാണിത്. കൂടെ ശ്രി വിജയരാഘവൻ (പാലക്കാട്-കുഴൽ മന്ദം), അതിൽ കാണുന്ന പിഞ്ച്കുട്ടി ശ്രി സുരേന്ദ്രസിങ്ങിന്റെ മകനും പ്രിയ പട്ടികുട്ടി, ക്യാപറ്റൻ പഞ്ചരത് (ഇപ്പോൾ കേണൽ) പ്രിയ വളർത്ത് മൃഗമായിരുന്നു. എന്റെ രണ്ട് മക്കളെയും പൂർണ്ണമായും രണ്ട് വർഷം മുലയൂട്ടിവളർത്തിയാണ് എന്റെ ഭാര്യ ഓമന എന്ന് ഞാൻ അഭിമാനപൂർവ്വം ഈ അവസരത്തിൽ എല്ലാ അമ്മമാരോടും അമ്മയാകുവാൻ പോകുന്ന സ്ത്രികളോടും സന്തോഷപൂർവ്വം പങ്ക് വെയ്ക്കുന്നു.
