As you know I can be a bit of a kook; I like mock government and other explorations to help stimulate my political thinking. Many people like throw around platform ideas for how to make American continue to succeed. I concocted a list that I think I can run with. So heres a viable political platform for America in my opinion: Tax Reform: Increasing corporate tax and banning offshore accounts, criminalize private wealth hoarding. Business Reform: Encourage small business grants, and localizing manufacturing jobs, increase American exports and make them affordably available to the rest of the world Education reform: Trade and vocational education programs for unemployment (leading to employment) Civil Reform: Promoting Tech equality - increase science and computer education and the promotion of open-source computing and tech development (in a digital age everyone should know how to build web pages and design software and hardware, hopefully even they laymen?average Joe will understand how spaceships and nuclear reactors work) Public Works: Promoting the greening of cities and towns with an American Green ReBuild program (sort of a new deal to upgrade American property and Infrastructure which is getting old and inefficient) Military: Divert military expenditure to space programs, lead or troops to explore space for strategic operations of space security (i.e. protection from solar flares, comets, and resource acquisition and control, trust me theres a lot methane gas and rare metals in space - although in violation of international law, whos going to stop us?) General Reforms: Net Neutrality, Copyright reform (encouraging creative commons and open-source initiatives), Central Banking reform increasing interest rates and (rather unconventionally) pegging American currency to that of the Chinese for a fixed exchange rate reinforcing cooperative development. The question at the end of the day still remains how will this be profitable? I dont know, but I am sure its a guessing game for everyone, even the career politicians. Were all winging it. Might as well wing it fairly.
