As you know, we have been seeking to have 3D0X1 be SKT exempt in 2014 and 2015 while we prepare to split the specialty into 3D0X1 (KM) and 3A1X1 (Admin). Both specialties are being built from the ground up, with new classification, training plans, CDCs, and schoolhouse courses; therefore, it makes little sense to have Airmen test on CDCs which no longer reflect expectations in the field. However, there are obstacles, as AFPC has already developed the SKT for 2014 and printed the WAPS study materials for those exams. Furthermore, the specific date of the 3A1X1 stand-up is still unknown, although we do expect it will take place in mid-2014. Until these issues are resolved, no exemption has been formally approved. I will pass along word once we have reached a final answer. BOTTOM LINE: All military personnel must rely on the Enlisted Promotion References and Requirements Catalog (EPRRC), formerly known as the WAPS Catalog, to see exactly what is testable.
