As you may have gathered I am booked in for another half marathon but this time with a difference… We are running as a family in just under 1 weeks time at the Cardiff half Marathon on Sunday 6th October and then I’m running the Bupa Great Run – Birmingham two weeks later on Sunday 20th October As a family we have cared for many different children with profound and multiple disabilities on a respite basis for the past 17 years. Through offering these breaks we have been a vital lifeline for parents and carers and the children get to have fun doing different activities in the community. We would love to raise as much money as we could to help children with disabilities and others who need support so we are running for Barnardos “Believe in Children”. The whole family has been involved in this venture and it has been so rewarding. (Unfortunately Jess is not able to run due to other commitments – NEXT TIME JESS!)
