“Ascending Hours” The hours ascend as we head into that midnight glowing Rounded orb Sometimes with the dusk’s yellow hue Mostly white gives forth the signal that our old day Is done We proceed into the mystery of the night Surroundings before so familiar now change to a Surreal shape of their different darkened essence A prior unperceived second sight Disorientated ill-lit time relegated to the minds eyes Charted memories course resurrected from the Deep and distant shadowed light found formidable in The sublime Strolling down the streets points of lights reserved for The night’s sky shines down to the earthly ground to Then enlighten our naked eye The avenues lamps and alley ways now then darken The pointed stars of the heavens to surrender to the man Made ethereal glow Proceeding down the paths of our dreams that retain a Certain remorse of our rendered hopes requite remain Us guided by on through our heart’s soul with in The means and the mantras of our desires The very requitation of the fires that our hearts can Only realize The essence of our being rekindled Again to be rejuvenated and disclosed deep with in The night times ascending hours then discovered to Be the undying human soul - R.J.
