Ashley/Josh Headcannon *Based from the show The Vampire Diaries* The full moon casted an illuminating white glow across the cloudless night sky as stars shined brightly from above, the moon’s light pouring through the darkened woods like silver patches as Ashley took Josh by the hand and led him down a path, the two walking deeper and deeper into the woods. Ashley had met the famous Josh Hutcherson two years ago after she relocated from Mystic Falls, Virginia to Los Angeles, California in hopes for a new start in her life. Too much had happened in Mystic Falls, resulting to Ashley being stuck at the age of nineteen forever. Even though Ashley and Josh have been dating for a little over a year now, he still had no idea what she actually was. “Where are we going?” Josh asked with a chuckle as he struggled to see through the darkness, though the darkened forest was no match for Ashley’s enhanced vision. “Somewhere private.” Ashley smiled, the two walking for about five more minutes until they came across a small clearing, to which Ashley turned around and smiled sweetly at Josh. The fall’s chilled breeze flowed through Ashley’s long brown curls as her dark eyes scanned their surroundings, finding no threats. “Now what?” Josh playfully smirked, Ashley’s eyes resting on his. He leaned over and connected his lips with Ashley’s, a surge of adrenaline and pleasure traveling through her veins as Josh gently pushed her up against a nearby tree with his body. Vampires’ senses and emotions were heightened, so even a single kiss was blissful. Ashley smiled before slowly deepening the kiss, Josh welcoming the act as he pressed his body harder against Ashley’s, their hips grinding against each other’s while small moans of pleasure escaped their throats. Josh’s hand slipped underneath Ashley’s shirt where his fingers brushed over a Lapis Lazuli bellybutton ring, the gem being spelled which allowed Ashley to walk freely in the sunlight. If a Vampire had a Lapis Lazuli gemstone embedded in some sort of jewelry and wore it, a Witch could place a special spell on the stone which would let that Vampire walk in the sunlight without turning to ashes, but those without a bewitched Lapis Lazuli stone had no choice but to stay out of the sunlight, being prisoner in the shadows. Josh tore his lips from Ashley’s and began to softly bite the slightly pale skin on her neck, the gesture causing her breathing to slightly quicken as Josh’s hands began to slip over Ashley’s pink laced bra. A warm sensation flowed through her body as she wanted more, though Josh’s touch wasn’t the only thing she desired. When Josh’s mouth began to make its way down towards Ashley’s chest she could feel her lust for his blood start to take over, a set of sharp fangs slowly piercing out of her gums as her eyes completely changed. The whites of her eyes turned a mixture of dark red and black while the irises in her eyes changed from dark brown to actual blood red, black veins appearing on Ashley’s skin right below her eyes. She quickly snapped her eyelids shut as she gripped the tree, her strength easily drilling holes in the tree’s bark as she tried to gain back control of herself. ‘Just breathe.’ Ashley thought to herself as she took a few calming breaths, Josh not noticing at all since he was currently busy kissing the skin that was outside of Ashley’s bra. Her face then went back to normal as her eyes returned to their natural colors, the fangs disappearing slowly while Ashley pushed away the bloodlust. When she felt herself under complete control again Ashley bent down and pulled Josh on top of her where her back was against the cool grass, Josh instantly getting on top of her as their lips connected in a passionate kiss. Ashley was in the middle of undoing Josh’s belt until a sudden sound caught her enhanced hearing, the brunette quickly pulling her lips from Josh’s and turning her head to the left where she stared out through the darkness, her eyes widening. “This is impossible… they shouldn’t be here.” Ashley whispered to herself. “Who shouldn’t be here?” Josh questioned in alarm, his gaze following hers. Ashley wiggled out from underneath Josh and stood to her feet as he stood next to her, panic clear on Ashley’s face at what she was hearing that Josh couldn’t. “What’s wrong?” “You need to run right now!” Ashley ordered without taking her eyes away from where they were locked on the woods. “Tell me what’s going on.” Josh demanded, though slight fear caught his voice. It was then that a normal sized pure black wolf came walking in the clearing, his eyes locked on Ashley’s. “Holy shit! Is that a wolf?” Josh gasped. “If only it were that simple.” Ashley muttered to herself, the animal in front of them being a Werewolf. Werewolves were humans born with the Werewolf gene, though it wasn’t active until that person takes a life away from another. It could either be murder or even a simple car accident, but if someone dies from the person’s hands, then their Werewolf gene gets activated. Every full moon they’re forced to painfully turn into a wolf against their will, and during the time they are wolves then they lose consciousness and are not able to control their actions. Werewolves were attracted to Vampires and designed to kill them, their instincts hating Vampires. “You need to run!” Ashley ordered again to Josh. “I’ll hold off the wolf while you run!” “Are you insane? I’m not leaving you! It will kill you!” “I SAID LEAVE!” Ashley growled as she quickly looked towards Josh, her face completely changed exactly how it was when she almost lost control from bloodlust. Josh’s eyes widened from the sight, the Werewolf lunging forward right after Ashley pushed Josh in the direction she wanted him to run in. Josh fell to the ground as Ashley turned back around to face the Werewolf, her body charging forward like a bullet. Their bodies then collided like two fierce storms, the wolf’s jaw snapping at Ashley’s neck which she barely dodged by an inch. A Werewolf’s bite will kill a Vampire because of the poisonous venom they had, and the only cure to a Werewolf bite was the blood of a Vampire/Werewolf Hybrid named Klaus who was back in Mystic Falls. Ashley jerked her body to the right where she managed to yet again dodge another bite from the Werewolf, though its claws dug deep into Ashley’s cheek and tore open the skin deeply. The brunette cursed, needing to end this battle quickly before the Werewolf’s attention shifted to Josh, who was frozen to the ground in fear as he watched the scene. Ashley darted forward like a bullet once again and got behind the wolf as her cheek heavily bled, the Vampire planning on breaking the Werewolf’s neck and then ripping out his heart to make sure he was really dead. When Ashley reached around to tighten her arms around his neck however the Werewolf jerked his head down and clamped his powerful jaw around Ashley’s wrist, the curly brunette gasping in shock as the wolf bit down where her blood entered his mouth. She quickly tore her arm free and wrapped it around the wolf’s neck, applying pressure where a sickening crack filled the clearing. “Damn mutt.” Ashley growled before plunging her hand inside the wolf’s chest and ripped out the heart, dropping it to the ground before her attention shifted to Josh. He was looking at her in complete fear as Ashley walked over towards him, the brunette falling to her knees beside him as her face went back to normal. Josh watched as the deep gashes on Ashley’s cheek healed on their own, his jaw dropping. “Oh my God…” Josh whispered. “W-what are you?” Ashley ignored him however and looked down at her wrist where the Werewolf had bitten her, the brunette only having about a week to live unless she got the cure from Klaus. If she didn’t get the cure then her body would slowly begin to shut down as the venom of the bite will spread; her skin would slowly rot away painfully as well as her brain. If she did make it back to Mystic Falls in time then would Klaus give her the cure? And at what price? Klaus didn’t want money. He wanted power, so what could Ashley possibly offer him? “I should have known better than to date you.” Ashley said with sadness clear in her voice, looking back up at Josh. “I knew the dangers but I didn’t listen… I’m so sorry, Josh.” “I don’t understand any of this.” Josh whispered. “What’s going on?” Tears instantly pooled Josh’s eyes, the desperation for answers clearly showing. “Are you sure you want me to tell you everything?” Ashley asked. Josh slowly nodded, bringing Ashley to sigh in defeat. That was my first Headcannon! I hope it was okay XD -FlamingArrow
