Asian Study Group, in collaboration with Kuch Khaas, presents An Evening of Sufi Revelations - Presentations & Renditions: Prose & Poetry. The Sub-continent has a thousand years golden history of Sufism and its humanitarian traditions. Sufi writers and poets of the area, through their esoteric and spiritual renderings, produced a treatise which is a remarkable chapter in the history of worldwide literature. “These were individuals giving of themselves for no gain but the prospect of divine pleasure, of serving humanity irrespective of creed or nationality and sharing their spiritual bounty with whoever would partake of it. They sang of love of mankind and people resonated to their tune …” About the presenters: ‘Theatre Wallay’ is a company consisting of amateur artists including actors, directors, writers, graphic artists, set designers and technicians. As a group of people with a passion for theatre and literature, they organize plays, readings, workshops and other activities consistent with their goal for providing good theatre to Islamabad. The company strives to create theatre that can appeal to audiences across the social, ethnic and religious divides.
