In the early 60s, at the rehearsal place of H.M.V. at Nalini Sarkar Street Hatibagan, famous singer Mrinal Chakraborty spotted an young man sitting down and interrogated him whether he was Prasanta Chowdhury, an assitant of Sudhin Dasgupta... The young man said that he indeed was the assistant of Sudhin Dasgupta and he offered Mrinal Chakraborty a few tunes which he said he had composed himself... Mrinal Chakraborty was quite impressed by his tunes and he selected two tunes out of them... These were released as songs later that year.... The two super-hit songs are Nadi chole jabei jani sagarer pane (lyrics Sunilbaran) and Tumi ele champa phutechhe ki tai(lyrics Sudhin Dasgupta)..
