Astrology for the Week of MARCH 31 thru APRIL 6 The month of April is going to be wild and woolly! For those of you unfamiliar with the term, think boisterous, untamed, and unpredictable. I wouldnt exactly call it a ‘free for all but thats probably pretty close to the truth. There is a quote from writer L. Sprague De Camp that says, ‘It does not pay a prophet to be too specific. Therefore Im not going to even try to predict exactly how things will go, but I can encourage you to fasten your seatbelts and expect a thrilling ride. Spoiler alert, Uranus the planet of awakening and Pluto, the director of transformations, are moving toward the 5th of 7 pre-destined rendezvous on April 21st. This one is particularly noteworthy since the Sun in Aries, Jupiter in Cancer and Mars in Libra help reinforce a Grand Square (aka Grand Cross) in the Cardinal Signs. When planets align in this configuration, its ‘batter up, the bases are loaded! And I suppose this isnt quite enough change in the cosmos, as this highly charged event occurs in the middle of a set of eclipses (Full Moon Lunar Eclipse in Libra on the 15th of the month and a New Moon Solar Eclipse in Taurus on the 28th.) Shorthand for eclipses – harbingers of change! These cosmic events point to major breakthroughs ahead, and like a rumbling volcano, or fast moving clouds that tip us off to changes in the weather, the planetary dance this week just might be a cosmic glimpse into our future. The stage is being set. Most of the action is scheduled for mid-month and after, but this week we feel the growing tension. The Sun in fearless Aries acts like an omen of the Grand Square to come, as it confronts both expansive Jupiter and powerful Pluto and sparks to the innovative inspiration of Uranus. Like an arrow being strung in the bow, we are preparing to take aim. Preparing is the key word here. Although we are anxious to make some significant changes, the timing is not quite right. Even amidst the growing din of planetary voices, assertive Mars moving retrograde in balance–seeking Libra whispers messages about divine timing in our ears. Its not enough to feel restless, excited, and optimistic. Making the necessary preparations, laying the ground work, and aligning focus, will, and intention will more effectively help us reach our goals. This week we will put up major resistance to anything we perceive as limitation, censorship and efforts to restrain. However if we are willing to embrace patience and honor the idea of taking the right step, in the right time, we will be richly rewarded. The energy is highly creative – and Im not just talking about arts and crafts. Im talking about the more fundamental urge to create, bring forth, and manifest by giving birth to our inspirations and desires. And the good news is we should have a lot of help with all of the above as Venus the planet closely aligned with love and our ability to attract the fulfillment of our desires slips into imaginative and inspired Pisces on Saturday. This cycle offers the opportunity to re-write, or at least re-interpret our past. This highly spiritual sign can help us erase boundaries between ourselves and others and find compassion and forgiveness in current and past relationships and situations.
