At approximately 7:55 p.m. yesterday, Sunday September 28, 2014, RCMP responded to a call involving a firearm in the area of 105th Street and 72nd Avenue in Grande Prairie. Police attended the area and set up containment due to the risk of having a suspect armed with a long barrel firearm. The suspect was located and was apprehended without incident. The investigation revealed that the suspect had a camouflaged pellet gun that resembled a pump action shotgun. He was released without charges and no charges are pending. Police would like to thank the person/s who called the incident in as this helps to keep our community and neighbourhoods safe.
