At first, when hearing about this beautiful womans story, I had mixed emotions. However, I only had to delve into my locked up box of painful memories to see why this very brave act, was a blessed way of saying goodbye, and not leave heavy burdens of pain and suffering on loved ones around her. I cant stress to you enough, how utterly painful it was to watch my sister deteriorate over a three year battle. Although brain cancer was one of her final diagnosis....it was the worst. It robbed her of the ability to write, to concentrate, to rationalize, to be humorous and smile....robbed her of her ability to go a day without eye pain or brutal headaches. It caused hallucinations along with the meds, that where unexplainable. These are not good memories for my family and I...except the sweet situation of Sherry thinking Cindy Lou Who was watching her and my cousin Beth going to the hospital to check what all this was about! So I think its a wonderful act of bravery, for this young woman to pass peacefully, knowing those loved ones around her and being of sound mind to still be able to be considered more than just a shell of a person. May her family find peace and comfort knowing her painful life experience here has now ended and I hope they always remember her vibrant and beautiful and lovely as intended!!
