Update from my Mother 11/16/2014 Well my dear friends, many of you already know that I have been officially diagnosed with Metastatic lobular breast carcinoma involving bone marrow (T4b N1 M1 stage 4) cancer. Although this is not the diagnosis that I wanted, I still believe with all of my heart, mind and soul that God has this. My oncologists informed me that they intend to “aggressively treat this disease with the intent not to manage, but to cure it.” My treatments to obtain a potentially curative option begin on Tuesday, November 18th. I will have 2 phases of chemotherapy: Paclitaxel (Taxol) once a week for 12 weeks then, Doxorubicin (Adriamycin) and Cyclophosphamide (Cytoxan) every 2 weeks for 4 doses. After chemotherapy, I will have a right mastectomy and axillary lymph node dissection and then radiotherapy to follow. I continue to hold on to Isaiah 40:30 as it says, “Those who trust in the Lord, will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.” I want to offer my thanks once again for your prayers and support to me and my family. I also want to thank those of you who have made it possible for our family to hug and love on AuBree this Thanksgiving! What an unexpected blessing!
