At nine months pregnant, the last thing I want is confrontation. But if we dont stand up for our kids, who will? This is a letter I sent to Plato Wraps today. We are long time fans of Plato Wraps, so I was surprised what happened to me today. I visited your franchise at Verra Mall Greenhills in the food court on the fourth floor. I have been there before because my daughter likes the wraps so I ordered one for her for take away. When I presented her PWD card the staff nicely told me that the discount for PWD and seniors is only 10 percent now. I asked when did this happen because I just went to Plato Wraps at SM Pasig yesterday and it was still the mandatory 20 percent. She said only this franchisee, her boss, told her that this this is the way he wants it. I asked for his contact number and she said she could not give it to me. I explained to her that this is government regulated and her boss can not just decide to give a lower discount, but still take his tax deduction for giving seniors and PWDs twenty percent later. She called his assistant by telephone and the assistant said to give the usual twenty. I was surprised that a business owner would just decide to go against the national laws and the franchise and set his own discount. Its not the small amount of money, but it seems like a violation of the rights of senior citizens and PWDs. Maybe the franchisee was hoping that no one would complain over a small amount, but for me it is the principle of the matter and I want to protect my daughters rights as a PWD. As a Filipino mainstay in the food cart business for over a decade, I hope Plato Wraps consistency does not only stop at the food you serve, but how you serve all of your customers as well. Thank you, Suzanna Yuzon
