At the Great Wall in China, a couple hours drive outside Beijing. Impressive, but something to do only once. Behind me were 1000 other tourists, hard to get a clear shot. Some looked like shady characters, which I why I stuffed my travel docs, $$$ and passport in my shirt. My driver advised me to do so just in case. There were only two places in China where I thought for one moment that personal security might be an issue, and this was one of them (the other was 3 locals tailing me on foot in Guilin for about 15 minutes until I ditched them). For the most part, China is not a concern. Chinese get in massive trouble if they hassle foreigners, and it rarely happens but for tourist traps like this.
