At the very, very least...if Pope Francis did say that communists have stolen our flag...it is the worst example ever of a poor choice of words. Though not a deist now, I am someone who spent thousand of hours as a child with devout Catholic nuns in classrooms studying the faith, and thousands of hours in Catholic churches practicing the faith and hearing sermons. Not once...NOT ONCE did I ever hear coerced altruism being advocated or accepted. It was, and is, VOLUNTARY...or it would not be a chosen path. Communism, as we see with Obamunist, uses FORCE to gain compliance. If a pope would have made this statement when I was a kid, my parents would have gasped and pulled their children out of Catholic school. As first generation Poles, they HATED communists...and still do.
