At this very moment Christians in Iraq are being killed for their faith. Parents are being murdered in front of their children who are later being beheaded or killed in some other heinous way. Husbands & fathers are forced to watch their wives & daughters get raped knowing that when the soldiers are done with their fun their wives will be killed along with them. And do they back down? Do they deny Jesus? do they give in to their society ? No, despite all these heinous acts they stand strong in their faith even until death. Here in America and many other countries its very easy to stand up for Christ, but many of us still dont for fear of social ridicule not bullets not knives not death but simply being made fun of stops many of us from proclaiming Christ. For those christians in iraq their faith is worth their lives. But for many of us, our faith isnt even worth our popularity. Its time to stop worrying about social ridicule, its time to stop worrying about not being one of the cool kids. Were worried about losing our place in society, while christians in iraq lose their lives. Every martyr killed for Christ should inspire us to stand up. Jesus died for us publicly, lets stop living for Him privately.
