Attempted break and enter, Bowen Hills Police are investigating an attempted break and enter that occurred in the early hours of this morning in Bowen Hills. Police were called to a residence on Abbotsford Road at around 12.55am following reports of two men who attempted to break into the residence. The two men were disturbed by a resident as they were gaining entry to the back door. As a result they headed toward the front where they were challenged by another resident. At this time one of the men produced a firearm before leaving on foot, outbound along Abbotsford Road. No one was physically injured and no property or cash was taken during the incident. One man is described as being around 170cms tall, with a slim build, Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in appearance and was wearing an orange shirt. The other man is described as being around 180cm tall, with a solid build and Pacific Islander in appearance. Investigations are continuing.
