Attending a meeting of the Committee of Intelligence and Security Services of Africa (CISSA). All over Africa, security challenges are taking novel and unique shape and character. These require collective security management as they transcend national boundaries with spill over effects across the continent. We must acknowledge that the traditional security paradigm is thoroughly inadequate for managing emerging challenges and must match the threats with commensurate imagination, and innovative solutions. Our security services must be well equipped, organised and sophisticated. We can only neutralise globalised threats with globalised strategies. Am looking for convergence of immigration and all security agencies to secure our continent. Working together will eliminate competition and make us secure our nations. By creating prosperity in our continent we will minimize radicalization and terrorism: it will create opportunities for those who dont have.
