Attention ALL comics! I need your help. If you could do it all over again, (or if youre in the planning stages, as well) what city would you use as your launching pad? Im looking to leave early next year. My time is now. Hustle loyalty respect! Im open to touring or just performing locally, but Id like to know, based on your experiences, which place(s) youd recommend. Which scenes are surprisingly savvy? Which have the most supportive colleagues? Where can you get the most effective stage time? Where do you feel most at home as a comic? Do you prefer being on the road and dont really care where home base is? What do you look for as a comic? Which towns have served you well? Where *wouldnt* you go? What towns are booming? Who has the best audiences? Ive already considered places such as Portland, Austin, Chicago, Las Vegas and Seattle. A few of us are considering NYC as well. Should I be intimidated? I would really appreciate hearing from as many of you as possible. I know some of you are famous, but youd be doing me a great service if you replied. And helping many others, Im sure. If youre also a curious party, or just want to help, please share this. Thanks in advance for your help and wisdom!
