Attention AT&T cellular customers. Scammers are operating a scam where youll get a call from AT&T Customer Care asking you to take a survey and in return get a $20 credit on your bill. They spoof the caller id number so it appears to come from AT&T Customer Care (1-800-331-0500), so it looks legit. They ask your name so that they can verify the account which will be credited supposedly. Within a day or two thereafter youll notice that your phone stops working. In my case, they called in and changed the equipment to an Apple which caused my data plan to stop working (Im an Android guy). I apparently called in time to prevent other changes to my account. Lesson learned: dont let your guard down due to the name/number on caller id seeming legit. It is easily spoofed.
