Attention all members!!! (Especially traders!) I would like to announce a new concept to encourage safe trading... The BST TRADE TRIAD! What is this you ask? Let me explain... With my intent in creating a close-knit community here in BST, I am always looking at ways to improve. As the admin responsible for handling disputes, I often mediate and intervene when transactions go poorly. The most common of these are trades. Trading is an excellent way for you to unload some comics and pick up ones you are looking for. Hard to find this option at an LCS. But theres risk involved. This is where I am offering to step in and reduce, if not eliminate, that risk. First, let me begin by saying this is in no way a requirement for conducting trades within the group. This is an option that is now available to you. You may have made trades in the past with no problems or may reference our Feedback Chart (found in the Files section) and see a trustworthy trader to deal with. You are free to trade however you wish. This is an option that is available, if needed, to bring peace-of-mind and evoke accountability. It is my firm belief that by having a third-party involved, it is less likely for a trade to go bad. Heres how it works... When you decide to enter into an agreement for a trade with another member, say Hey, lets use the Trade Triad! :) Then either or both members should pm me and inform me they are about to conduct a trade with a fellow member. I will then create a three-way pm between me and both parties. I will be there to observe conversations and verify the terms of the trade are agreed upon by both parties. I will also be there to ensure the day of shipment is agreed and followed through and require tracking info from both parties. Once the items have been shipped, I will await a message in our triad pm that either one or both parties have received their items and are satisfied. Once the trade is finalized, I will encourage both members to leave feedback, as well as provide the link, and then will remove myself from the triad pm. I believe this is one step towards safer trading and I welcome any and all to take advantage of this service and opportunity to put your mind at ease regarding a phenomenal way to obtain comics. Again, this is not a requirement, but I will do my best to ensure that the trades made within the Trade Triad are successful. If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below.
