Aubreys GI doctors called this morning and said thet really did want to see aubrey today so we just got done with her appt. So heres the update, shes gained weight shes 32.18 lbs so shes gained about one pound in 2 months :-) We have been struugling with belly stuff since birth. Weve done test after test and experimented with multiple meds with not many positive results. Its gotten worse lately and aubreys in pain or very uncomfortable about 4 or 5 days out of the week, this is BESIDES her CF stuff. The GI team thinks we need to do some testing to see how fast her stomach and colon empty. This test take 4-6+ hours depending on her belly and her cooperation. She will eat scrambled eggs with a barium in it to show up in xrays and then have xrays throughout the time. So nothing invasive! But she is never a fan of the barium foods lol but I cant blame her!! We wait for a call to schedule that but it wipl be within the next 2-3 wks. She also switched enzymes the med she takes with food or her toddler formula. She will be on zenpep now, iv heard great things about them so hopefully they work. The dosing for her will be rather crazy though so we will be experimenting lol Im feeling like a mad scientists these days lol! Oh, they believe she may have over growth of bacteria in her small bowel again too so were going to give the zenpep a few days and if theres not a huge change then we will give her a strong antibiotic foe one week every month. Which Im not thrilled about but gotta do what ya gotta do :/ I think iv covered everything but if not ill add it later. Over all a good appt because were getting somewhere! Its going to be a VERY busy few weeks! Next appt is sept 8th! Thanks so much for all the love and support it means soo soo much! ♡♥♡
