Aug 31, 1422—King Henry V of England died. He was the victor of Agincourt and one of the greatest warrior kings of the Middle Ages. His infant son, Henry VI, succeeded him. Henry VI’s insanity brought ruin upon the House of Lancaster. Interestingly, this insanity came from the maternal grandfather of King Henry VI who was King Charles VI of France. Charles VI, in turn, inherited it from his maternal grandfather, Pierre I, Duke of Bourbon.
