August 1, 2013 Jerry, Dorothy and I are glad to hear that the slow road to recovery and complete healing is taking place. Please know that we have remembered you in our prayers and believe that God has a special purpose for you in this next season of life. I have so many fond memories of high school days, but one of my best memories was spending an afternoon with you and your precious family in Halcyon. That was such a cool house and shaping room. You were working on a custom board for me and you were experimenting on new fiberglass lease holders. You were so attentive to my concerns and of course, created a masterpiece. Also, paddling-out at Hazards with Mike White for the first time in ’64 on long boards with no leash and determined that the waves was too extreme to ride. We were also scared when Mike got launched under the rock ledge, shredded his wetsuit and almost drowned. Then to see you and Whitey, Fossaceca and the Crew charge that wave was amazing. Now my son Craig surfs it as his home break. Thanks for your loyalty to me through the years. Dorothy and I hope this small token will help you get through this rough time.
