August 20: Astrological Commentaries from Bali: I would usually - TopicsExpress

August 20: Astrological Commentaries from Bali: I would usually wait another day or two to post a second installment of a series. But so many are asking: What about earth? Air? Water? I am sincerely appreciative of your comments and interest in my work but dear FB friends, do you think I would abandon you or not complete my task? So unless the Lord sees fit to take me Home within the next week, I assure you I will cover all of the elements and perhaps just a bit more. So from a "star man" with no earth in his chart save my Virgo MC (and hence my need to be complete at my tasks), here is a brief take on a lack of EARTH in the chart sent out to all of you with Love and Blessings. When there are no planets in the earthy signs, a person may appear to lack a distinct sense of practicality. The individual can be overly idealistic and not concerned enough with the material or pragmatic side to life. One of the most important karmic lessons in this lifetime for lack-of-earth-people is the right relationship with form, i.e. possessions, money, and “things.” The ability to see the relationship between form and essence is of major consequence. An absence of earth requires the need to learn how to handle resources properly and such people are often confronted by lessons that deal with right giving and right sharing (especially if there is a Saturn/Venus square, opposition, inconjunction or conjunction). On the other hand (and please refer back to my first post on this subject), people without any earth can be surprisingly materialistic. As they are not naturally endowed with a balanced sense of the material, they tend to view everything from a perspective of material consequences. Thus they can be overly concerned with money and finances, as they do not have an innate instinct about the circumstances surrounding these issues and the dynamic Laws of Return. (Capricorn for example "creates predictability" while no-earth people often have to go it on faith alone.) In their social interchanges, people without earth are usually checking the dependability and stability of their friends and associates, tending to reward people whom they can depend upon and trust. To people with a lot of earth in their charts, a thing is a thing. In other words, everything has a value or a purpose that can be defined in material terms. To people without any earth in their chart, a thing is an “energy” and for many it is an energy of an unknown quantity. A person, a place, or an object may thus be a symbol for something else while the form of that person, place, or object is merely an outer covering for something more meaningful to their X-Ray perception. In human relationships for example, an earthy person is attracted to the magnetism coming through the form of the other individual, i.e. his or her physical body, social status, or financial worth. A person without any earth would tend to be more concerned with the inner qualities and the more subtle dynamics surrounding an individual. Thus, how you make me feel or how you make me think or how you inspire me, can be more important to no-earth person than how you look when you are next to me and where your status in life will bring me. My ex-wife who has 5 planets in Taurus in the 1st house with another in Virgo made me an offer when we first met: "If you teach me about the heavens, I will teach you about the Earth." After a decade together it became obvious that I could not totally land and that she could not totally fly but it was a very rewarding attempt on both our parts. More to follow....I promise. AO
