August 22, 1944 in Tunnelton, West Virginia Georgiana and Junior Couch were given a very, very special gift from God, and they named her Ida Mae Couch! (Parkison now) What a blessing she has been and still is to a lot, make that a whole lot of people!! She started school in Hockerville, OK where she lived and, believe this or not, was known as the runaway kid. She was a holy terror on her tricycle sneaking off all the time and scaring my mom to death. (I never got a trike because of this) :( LOL. The move to Cardin was probably one of her favorite moves, as she lived there until the buy out a few years ago. Cardin Baptist Church where our dad preached for years, was an important, rewarding and loving place for her with great memories. Ida accepted the Lord here and has spent every year of her life serving Him as a teacher and faithful servant ! I am so proud of her and Kim and I are so blest to be her sisters!! She is a wonderful grandma of 9 grandkids, still serving the Lord faithfully, helping others, giving and sharing and sending cards, and praying for others. (Baking really good stuff to share too.-no bakes and other things) Yum! She helps me in the Womens Ministry or any of my hair brain ideas, (poor Ida lol), even when I come up with some far out things to do. (Picture above when we dressed the part for a Mary/Martha skit. Thats a mild thing. Lol. Always a listening ear and I know I can share anything with her, as she always has an encouraging word! I know she will be there for me no matter what!! Sister, best friend, and most of all a wonderful Christian lady who truly loves the Lord!! 70 years young today, and I wish I had more room to tell ALL the good things about her, but at least you know why I love her and am so, thankful to God for making us sister!! (She hates pictures so this is the best I could find). How about the first one in Cardin? Happy birthday Ida. I love ya!
