August 3, 2014 Day 169 It has been a lovely August day here in Fremont. Evie had a very sleepy morning and wasnt stirring much so sadly we missed church. When she did wake, we did our usual singing and chatting. After church was out, we went to Grpa and Grma Smiths for lunch. Evie loved having time with Grpa and Grma. She really loves trying to communicate with them. When she was tried, she talked Grpa into taking a nap in the chair. They both zonked out. Evie is feeling better and she doesnt seem quite as sore. She is doing several quiet pukes - which means she is not wretching like when she had the ngtube. I am not sure why she is doing these pukes but I am watching her closely and trying to discern exactly why they are happening. Still, it is so much better than before her Gtube surgery. Tonight, we took a walk down by the lake and enjoyed the peacefulness. We have so much to be thankful for and we want to acknowledge that there is no way we would survive without The Lord walking with us daily. Days like today - calm, peaceful, quiet - are the type of days we look forward to every day. We know it will happen eventually and until then, we walk each day trusting God that he is providing for our every need. There are a few pictures with a tiny hat on top of Evies head. That hat fit her in the NICU and was actually big on her at one time. Now there is a reason to celebrate!
