August 6 Do you know HIM? Do you know that hurt people will hurt people! We live with them every day and sometimes it seems that they go out of their way to hurt us or others around us. We can react with anger and talk about that person and what they do out of their hurts or we can do what the word says and that is to pray for them and love them right where they are. We wonder why they can’t just be nice but realize they carry around their wounds with them. The Word tells us that what is in our hearts will overflow out of our mouths. When a person is filled with hurts, rejections, unhealed wounds they have nothing to give to others except what they have. If they don’t have hope then how would they ever give it to another person? It’s like being around a negative person that you would give anything if they would only say one positive thing in a conversation. What they need is healing and to be made whole through the supernatural touch of the Holy Spirit that will bring life to them and therefore to others. Once we were all blind and now we can see because of Him. I have been such an encourager because of the Lord and it truly hurts my heart when others can’t see the hope for a person. Sometimes people in our families are the ones that we need help on with the Lord to give us hope for them. I have definitely had to pray before for that hope to rise in me for their lives and to give me the eyes and heart of the Lord for me to see and love them with. So don’t give up on the world around you but keep on sowing seeds of encouragement, hope and love to all you meet. God’s words will not return void and we don’t have to see the change going on in their spirits because it is! Isaiah 61:1-3 “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me, Because the LORD has anointed Me To preach good tidings to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, To proclaim liberty to the captives, And the opening of the prison to those who are bound; 2 To proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD, And the day of vengeance of our God; To comfort all who mourn, 3 To console those who mourn in Zion, To give them beauty for ashes, The oil of joy for mourning, The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness; That they may be called trees of righteousness, The planting of the LORD, that He may be glorified.” Matthew 12:34 Brood of vipers! How can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks. Luke 6:45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks.
