#Australian #GrandPrix #Formula1 What a race it was to watch.... The new era of Formula 1 certainly gave a twist to this first Grand Prix of the year, for sure it sets up the rest of the year to be a exciting one. The unlucky one : Yes, Massa again is the unlucky one, it just seems like nothing will ever go right for this lad, with the first corner incident as Kobayashi out braked himself into Massa. Driver/s of the Day: I have two drivers of the day. First being Bottas in his Williams-Mercedes, what a drive from the Fin, starting 15th, moving up to 7th then unfortunately, bumping the wall and damaging his tyre, but then from 14th to 6th at the end of the race, just incredible how well he drove and how that car preformed. Second driver has to be Magnussen, he drove a controlled race right from the get go, the young rookie is sure a man to watch this season. Aussie hero: Ricciadro, the Aussie hero drove a good race, nothing too exciting from his point of view, but controlled it very well and out preformed Vettel the entire weekend but Im sure Vettel will be back challenging for the poduim, which is possible, once they fix his car. So Red Bull fans, dont be hating just yet, its only the first race. Keep clam, there are more races. Silver Arrow Untouchable Rosberg and his Silver Arrow were in a class of their own today with 24.5 sec win over Ricciardo. Im sure Hamilton back in his garage has some hope that he for sure will win a couple of races this season. A massive amount of work for the other teams to do if they hope to close the gap to Mercedes. The New Era of Formula 1 - Good or Bad Now I know a lot of people of complaining with the new rule changes, the new power units Engines, and saying this is not Formula 1 any more and the F1 sound is gone. Yes F1 is a lot different but it has created a much more exciting race, hasnt it? Todays race proved that, it takes me back to the late 90s and early 2000s when a race was won if your car could last the race distance and at any moment this engine could let go. Ok, I dont agree with all the rules, I dont believe the drivers should have to be so careful to save fuel, they should be flat out 100% of the time and not worry about fuel, and not have such a low number of engine restriction for the season, but thats my only problems with F1. The new power units (Engines) I think are the way to go, and they will get faster and soon enough they will be faster than the V8 era. The F1 sound has changed and people will get used to it, very soon and people will all forget about these sort of arguments. With all that said, it was a fantastic race, a lot of interesting points to think about. Hope you enjoyed the race. Next up, Malaysia, Im sure that will be even better. Have a good one.
