Australia’s premier science and climate modelling agencies have confirmed Australia is facing devastating impacts from climate change unless we reduce our carbon pollution. The CSIRO and Bureau of Meteorology report shows Australia will be hardest hit by rising temperatures and increased frequency of extreme weather events such as drought, heatwaves and cyclones. It’s another damning reminder that Tony Abbott is not doing enough to limit the impact of climate change on Australians. Australians know they’re vulnerable to the impacts of climate change. In an economy that relies on the environment through agriculture and tourism, it’s clear to everyone except Tony Abbott that this is the challenge of the 21st century.
