***Available for adoption to a member of the public!*** A volunteer writes: With eyes that shine like gorgeous Topaz, Hollywoods pretty face shows concern, confusion, and sadness. Laying in the front of her kennel when I approached, her tail gave a quick wag as I unlatched her gate, but she stepped back not sure if she should be friends. It didnt take much to convince her I would be a good friend, and she came forward eagerly to be leashed. Likely housetrained she went potty as soon as we were outside, and I let her off leash in a pen to get comfortable. Its clear shes stressed at the moment, looking out at the street wanting to search for her people. Shes gorgeous in a light latte color coat which is lush and clean. Her tail curls up into a reverse C, and she knows how to sit for a treat. Wagging her tail she comes when I call her, and allows me to pet her all over. On a walk her leash manners are good as we navigate the busy sidewalks to get to the park. Later on in the day she joined a play group and was good with other dogs, happy to engage and then more open and friendly with people too. Hollywood is a good dog who needs a home in which to relax and feel loved. She seems to have had it once, and wants/needs it again. Beautiful, sweet and lovely, shes hoping to find her place by your side. Ask to meet her when you visit. Another volunteer writes: Will the real Hollywood please stand up? What a difference a few days makes! So frightened when she first joined us, Hollywood has learned to trust, has made friends, and has gotten more comfortable. A playful, friendly, affectionate little girl has emerged from the shy, timid pup we first met. Her eyes sparkle, her tail wags, her face smiles and as she bounced around the pen playing with a ball and over our laps we cant help but laugh at her antics. And, not only does she sit, she gives paw and goes into a down all for the reward of a treat which she continues to take gently. Hollywood is smart enough to still be a bit shy with new people and will need a bit of time to warm up and become friends, but shes one smart girl and will do so quickly. I hadnt seen Hollywood for a few days and she bounced right into my arms remembering that Im a friend. Pretty, petite, good with most other dogs, playful and affectionate to those she can call a friend, Hollywood is hoping that you will be hers. Wont you?
