Avery HR is currently recruiting for: POSITION TITLE: Production & Manufacturing Supervisor - Cosmetics LOCATION: Barrie, ON PRIMARY FUNCTION: Oversee the manufacturing in Cream, Powder and Lipstick Departments, and the production in the Cream Department. To organize and authorize the use of the company resources for the production of required product on time, at acceptable quality and at competitive prices with all regulatory compliance government and company. Develops and initiates policies and procedures in compliance with G.M.P., WHMIS, Safety and Environmental labour standards and other government regulations. Responsibility for the Supervision of: • Manufacturing Compounders, Sanitizers and Pre-Weigh personnel • Day to day operations of the Cream Department personnel DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: • Monitor assembly lines to ensure that job and line set up specifications and assembler requirements are met. • Monitor the manufacturing process to ensure job specifications are met. Recommend, develop and implement improvements. • Co-ordinates training of all department personnel in the requirements of safety, GMP, SOP’s, quality, quantity, rules, regulations, on proper methods to perform critical tasks and any other information pertinent to the satisfactory operation of the line and/or equipment. • Respond to employee concerns, providing solutions and information. Develop a team-based approach to continuous improvement. • Ensure smooth transition between shifts and customer commitments are fulfilled as per plan. • Establish and maintain all assembly records, line documentation requirements, drug product equipment use logs, operator training and experience records, GMP records and production status requests and any additional documentation. • Maintains inventory and control of work in process bulk and raw material storage of chemicals in the cream area. • Participates in the development of labour cost quotations. Interface with customers to explain processes and resolve issues. • Promote and enforce safety standards. • Direct the inspection and control of all manufacturing equipment. Responsible for maintenance, care and usage of all equipment and supplies. • Ensure all physical and mechanical hazards are corrected. • Prepares daily and weekly schedules. Attends daily production meetings. Reviews work orders and change orders. Advises of any extra cost that may occur from change. • Responsible for regulatory compliance and administration tasks. QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor of Science Degree • Valid Fork Lift License • Minimum 5 years’ experience in manufacturing. • Experience in all aspects of production assembly operations including safety, GMP, quality, quantity, and is capable of directing, training, motivating and controlling an assembly line to pre-determined standards of performance. • Excellent human relations and communication skills • Planning, organizing, leadership skills • Accurate and timely record keeping skills • Health & Safety knowledge • Ability to work well under pressure and project self-confidence and professionalism Interested candidates please forward your resume or inquiries: Natalie Boucher at Avery HR Phone: 705-737-1200 x24 email: nboucher@averyhr
