Avoid Poisoning your family from meat. ******************************************* # Chicken and eggs are a major source of salmonella ( typhoid) and Campyrobactor bacterial which cause food poisoning. # These bacteria contaminate meat from the chicken faeces during slaughter and handling. # Make sure you avoid as much as possible contaminating the chicken flesh with chicken faeces/ intestines during the slaughter. # Avoid washing chicken on kitchen table especially if it is rough surface as some bacteria will be left there and form a reservoir from where other foods are contaminated. # The wooden chopping board should be avoided as it will definitely retain some of those bacteria. # Always wash clean eggs before frying them. # Avoid drinking raw egg; wewe si nyoka ama burukenge. # Proper cooking will always kill those bacteria- cook your meat until it is done, wewe si umbwa ukule nyama bichi. # And finally, if you keep your meat in the freezer, cut it into pieces enough for single meal/cooking.
