Azerbaijan begins the transition to digital broadcasting in the DVB-T2. State company Teleradio transmitters will gradually upgrade the standard DVB-T/MPEG-4 the more efficient DVB-T2. At the meeting on science and technology of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technologies of Azerbaijan approved the protocol will transition existing stations on DVB-T2. Currently, emissions from this technology are realized only in Baku. All transmitters operating in DVB-T broadcast benefits package, consisting of 10-12 channels.
