***BACK ON THE LIST AGAIN*** No Time for this beautiful boy his owner states. Now Leo is out of time at the shelter. If not saved by noon tomorrow he will be gone forever... A volunteer writes: Sweet Leo, where have you been hiding that fabulous smile??!!! This wee darlings stay at the Care Center has been quite an emotional roller coaster as he transformed from playful and friendly in his former home to bereft, terrified and trembling once he realized his family wasnt going to be coming back for him. Now hes turned (almost) full circle and the Leo I met and fell in love with today is a playful, affectionate and well-trained little gem of a puppy. By the time our date is over Im grinning almost as wide as the man of the hour, totally blown away by his progress and so delighted to be spending time with the loving, happy dog hes become. Hes still a bit shy with the leash but I have no issues taking him in and out of his den and after a short game of keep-away (complete with play bows!) re-leashing him in the yard is a cinch. Leos bag of tricks is full as Santas sack and hes happy to demonstrate his come, sit, stay and shake paw for me, posing for many long minutes during our photo shoot with not a peep of complaint and letting me pet him all over while offering up plenty of cuddles and kisses of his own. Were told he gets along well with children and once Leo knows he is safe, the skys the limit when it comes to loving! His hugging technique is second to none as he locks his arms round my legs, rests his head against my belly and just chills there as I caress his silky soft ears and ask him whos a good boy? Well I think we both know the answer to that! Despite his former owners assertion that hes afraid of other dogs, during our walk he meets his counterparts with tentative tail wags and in time perhaps he could make some doggie friends but for now a slow approach is key. Leos only remaining issue is his leash technique and when out in the street he will sometimes simply crouch down and refuse to move, whether scared or simply stubborn I couldnt say with certainty. Either way it does mean he may need some additional instruction and more exposure to the world outside his own four walls to help increase his comfort levels and get him (literally) back on track. If youve got plenty of love, patience and one-on-one time to spend with an affectionate, playful and gorgeous youngster then here is the dog for you. Leos already neutered and ready to roll - right out the door and into the amazing forever home he deserves! https://facebook/Urgentdeathrowdogs/photos/a.611290788883804.1073741851.152876678058553/922642471081966/?type=3&theater
