BACK TO NORMAL, ALMOST! This week our members worked hard to replace the war-time trains on our model railways with our normal mixture of 1950s and famous trains. So visitors can once again gaze at our Silver Jubilee and Coronation Scot streamlined expresses, admire the Midland Pullman diesel unit, and watch a Beyer Garratt trundle past on a long coal train (and much, much more!). On the Chinley model railway we have over 20 trains to see, and the Darley Green branch line is also usually quite busy with local passenger and goods trains. There is also a Hornby Dublo layout to watch, and our second-hand table has some very recent additions to tempt you! We are located in Markeaton Park, Derby, and open weekends and bank holidays (not Christmas!) from 11am to 4pm. You can find us next to the main (south) car park - off the Markeaton Island at the A38 Burton /A52 Ashbourne road junction. We are next to the main station and sheds of the Markeaton Park Light Railway.
