BAD Buildings ( Brownfields, Abandoned & Dilapidated) buildings - TopicsExpress

BAD Buildings ( Brownfields, Abandoned & Dilapidated) buildings program guide, was viewed and this is going to take community volunteer involvement..Luke Elser and The City Planner gave a brief presentation to a small group, and plans on having a large event, to involve all those who are interested. This would include Homeowners, Landlords, Commercial Business owners, Groups... But Mostly volunteers.. I would go off and start a page for volunteer sign-up , but thought that may detract from the Official page after the upcoming event. In my brief summary, The build Team would be trained to identify and research potentially BAD Building sites with the City cooperation there would be a BAD building Inventory of sites developed for assessment and prioritization. . Research Property ownership. Identify with Your input the next step[s for redevelopment of High Value Or High Public Good contributing sites, Create a BAD Building redevelopment plan!!! I copied some from their hand-out or ( Lukes collection.) I think any further question may be answered at the larger meeting currently being scheduled..But, for me.. This is exciting news...for quite some time the BAD building of Fairmont have been a problem that was being attended to in piece-meal fashion Now to have a comprehensive plan for The City which use Public involvement..This sound really good. Please share freely -this update!@ It is for Municipal City limits and Borderline area properties ( may be considered) Only. But if you live in Mannington, Grant Town, Monogah, Whitehall etc.. Urge your local official and public to attend the meeting and learn about the model which may be repeated in your immediate area. Please Pin this post. ( It would help to keep interest focused for meeting date announcement.) If Not I will just bump it LOL I told you I would go and update Aaron- Just as I always do Keep my word!
