BAKERY SPECIALIST - Bulawayo Zimbabwe OPEN FOR ZIMBABWEAN NATIONALS ONLY The incumbent will be stationed in Bulawayo and will cover the company retail stores in the whole Western Region (Midlands, Masvingo and the Matebeleland provinces). Purpose of Job: To ensure that the in-store company bakeries are run and maintained along the internationally known company standards which reflect freshness, ambience, quality, competitive pricing and range in order to maximise on bakery sales and profits for the overall growth of the business. Summary of Key Duties: 1. Advising company bakeries on strategies to achieve competitive retail pricing and gross profit setting through appropriate costing methods.; 2. Providing advice on the implementation of set bakery standards and monitoring compliance with the same; 3. Advising on the preparation of appropriate reports such as trading reports; 3. Developing strategies to achieve sales budgets; 4. Monitoring the range for acceptable product quality and freshness; 5. Coordinating and facilitating bakery staff training; 5. Motivating bakery departments’ participations in store promotions; 7. Advising on controlling of expenses and shrinkage; 8. Advising on the proper use and maintenance of equipment; 9. Advising on the implementation of scientific ordering. Qualifications and Competencies: 1. A relevant professional qualification from a reputable and recognised institution; 2. At least 3 years experience in the bakery field under a recognised brand, experience in the company bakery department will be an added advantage; 3. Computer literacy is a must and candidates must have a flair for figures; 4. Be result oriented and willing to work under pressure with minimum supervision; 5. Inter-personal relationships and good communication skills.
