~~~BALLS~~~ I wrote this one morning when I was watching the TV show, MTV Cribs, you know...that show where they show all those big palatial homes with swimming pools inside and outside, a fleet of cars that are owned by these full grown men that play a game with a ball. They bounce em, they hit em, they drop em and catch em...and they make multi-millions doing it. Then I turned the channel to CNN where I saw this social worker that took a little child out of a drug home and placed her in a safe Christian home...and I thought, “Now that’s something I’d pay to watch!” I like a good sports event, but come on, some of those guys make over a hundred million dollars to play a game with a ball. I just don’t get it. I feel that ballplayers (and all entertainers) should make a minimal salary and all the excess monies should go to aid little children born with birth defects, the elderly for their healthcare, cancer research and to help the homeless and the less fortunate.
