BATTLE FOR THE BARNES CANCER CANNONBALL CHALLENGE Matts dad, Jeff - We need your help!! Our Niece Dyanne Barnes, who lives in Maryland has been struggling with stage 4 cancer that has moved into her lymph nodes, multiple chemo treatments and surgeries for some time. Ironically, before she had any knowledge of her future cancer diagnosis, she had gone back to nursing school and was working as an oncology nurse. She is the wife to our nephew, Matt and mother to their 3 young girls. Any type of life-threatening illness is an emotional drain on the family but, it is also a huge financial drain. So we are starting a new challenge amoung our family and friends and would love to see any outside participation, even if that means only doing the challenge with no donation. All types of support are appreciated!! We are starting the Battle for the Barnes Cancer Cannonball Challenge! Our goal is to Wipeout the financial burden this illness has placed and may continue to place on their family! Here are the Rules: If nominated, you have to jump in a pool, lake, etc, fully clothed within 24 hours. We chose Sunday best as our clothing theme. Get crazy and make it entertaining. We would love to see this, combined with a donation of any amount to the caring website listed below and hopefully it will bring a smile to Dyanne and her family! youcaring/help-a-neighbor/battle-for-the-barnes-family/139658 If you dont meet the challenge, you must donate $100 to this cause. Then you may nominate up to 4 new people! After you have recorded your video, please post to your page and tag Shelly Barnes, David Barnes and/or Matt Barnes or anyone else you are friends with on this list or email your video if you dont have a Facebook and we can post it to the Battle for the Barnes Family facebook page. Below is an article that was in their local paper: abc2news/news/region/harford-county/community-rallies-for-breast-cancer-patient-who-is-an-oncology-nurse Thank you and most of all please remember Dyanne and family in your prayers!
