BEAT BACK THE BIRDS And when the fowls came down upon the carcases, Abram drove them away. -Gen. 15:11 In response to Gods instruction, Abraham laid these animal sacrifices upon an altar that he erected. Soon after, the birds came down to pick apart his sacrifice. But Abraham guarded his altar and beat back the birds!! Similarly, satan always comes to pick apart our consecration. He did with Jesus, when He was fasting and praying in the wilderness. Being forty days tempted of the devil. And in those days he did eat nothing: and when they were ended, he afterward hungered. -Luke 4:2 Jesus beat back the birds with the Word of God. Remember, your altar of consecration will always attract both God and Satan. Satan will usually show up first to attack and attempt to pick it apart. Like Abraham, guard your altar and BEAT BACK THOSE BIRDS!! And like Jesus, use the weapon of His Word to do the job!!
