BEFORE THE FAME, RED CARPETS AND EXTREME SUCCESS, I got to know Adrian Peterson, 50 Cents, Floyd Mayweather, Stephen A. Smith and a few other guys who are catching hell in the media - and on BPR. Its hard to write about people that you want to cheer for and even harder to part ways. As a final message to these men, I wanted to remind them each of something that they all said to me at one point or another: THEY WERENT SUPPOSED TO BE HERE. They each told stories of a not so easy life and a harder road to success. They were so grateful for the chance to prove themselves. I do not believe they were pretending just like I do not believe they cannot change. Like a 12 step program, they have to stand in the mirror and say to themselves, I need help. When they do, their ability to change society could be even bigger than their mistakes but every day that they whine and complain and blame others makes it harder to feel sorry for them. These tests could easily become their testimony if theyll just be humble. We all could benefit from learning to do that. This song is a perfect place to start. I hope you get the message.
