BHW FEATURED STALLION Registered Name: Frenchmans Elvis We are extremely proud to stand Frenchmans Elvis, a 2007 son of the great barrel racing sire, Frenchmans Guy! Elvis has everything that we are looking for in a sire. Great conformation to last, strong bone, straight legs, good feet, train-ability, grit, and athleticism. He wants to please and is just a true gentlemen. Elviss sire, Frenchmans Guy needs no introduction as one of the leading sires of barrel horses. His dam, Midnight By Lucky, is a full sister to Smoky By Lucky Boy (3x NDHSRA Horse Of The Year, NDHSRA Barrel Racing Champion, twice Reserve Champion, NPRA Qualifier) Smoky is 20 years old and is still running in the 1D against some top horses in ND. Elvis maternal grandsire, Dollys Lucky Boy has produced several top 1D barrel horses from TX to MT. His maternal granddam, Pokeys Peppy, I was told was a tough barrel horse in TX and was a HS Champion at one time. His pedigree is proven through and through! With very limited training (due to a breeding injury) and hauling, Elvis is already a barrel money earner, including placing in the only futurity I entered him in. From the very first time I took him anywhere, this guy came into the arena and did business. Every time I entered that gate, I know Elvis is there, wanting to do his job and focus at the task at hand. He was a natural on barrels and has a gritty attitude that I havent seen in many horses. Not only does he run barrels, but hes earned his keep at the ranch. Hes cowy and will not back down from a cow. Hes a favorite to use on those all day rides with his rocking horse lope, sorting cows and if you need to rope a calf, you know hes going to catch them. I cant stress enough that if you show this horse a job, he shows up to DO his job. Doesnt matter if hes tired and had a hard days ride, hell bare down and prove to anyone just how much heart he really has. Ive breakawayed a little on him and I have yet to have a horse break to the pin as hard and fast as him in such a short amount of training. He gave me a shot right out of the box every time. Hes a versatile horse and wants to please! His first foal crop was born in 2010 and in his first three crops we could not be happier with what he produced. These colts all have good bone, feet, and balanced conformation. In addition to good looks, theyve been gentle since they were born and were a breeze to halter break. The first three two year olds weve broke have lived up to our expectations, very smart and willing, athletic as all get out, and like their sire, wants a job! We look forward to these colts futures as well as the future years crop of colts. $750 including 1st shipment! LFG, Shipped Semen/AI only. Considerations to proven barrel horses. He will stand in 2014 to a limited book. barrelhorseworld/horsedetail.asp?ID=167924
