BIG HOLE NATIONAL BATTLEFIELD SUMMER SPEAKER SERIES Saturday July 6th and Sunday the 7th will feature Red Heart and Ruby. Red Heart will conduct a presentation of flintnapping at Noon on Sat. Flintnapping is the art of shaping flint, chert, obsidian or other fracturing stone into stone tools, arrowheads, spearheads and knives. At 3pm, he will continue with the hauntingly beautiful and mystical sounds of the Native American flute. On Sunday, at Noon Ruby will demonstrate the art of beading on clothing, knife sheaths, jewelry and other articles Beautiful reproduction beadwork will be on display. At 3pm, Red Heart will again play the flute, while displays of flintnapping, and beadwork will be on display! All activities are at the Big Hole Visitor Center, and as always, admission is free for these events!
