BIG INCIDENTS OF A SMALL CITY... 2) LIFE OF CIVIL FINAL YEAR @ NIT Durgapur Company was there at 11 am and a Lab exam at 2:30. Also I just got the info that there is a class from 10:15...Because of the fear of the attendance ( although I havent missed a class of that prof.but in civil you never know) I went to class.... Exactly at 11 am..asked teacher if I can leave bcos of company. He says..JAO!! without even letting me complete... I take the courage to ask..Sir will I get Attendance?.. He just looks at me with disgust & those scary eyes for about half a minute...TUM JAO NA APNA KAAM KAROhe growls.I forfeit..smile and leave...as everyone laughs behind me.. Waited for the company...for two hours... finally WHITE COLLAR guys arrive at 1:am, they take 1st round test for 1 hour. After test, they ask us to disperse and meet at 3:30. In mean time, I go back to same prof for attendance..... SEE IF YOU GUYS KEEP COMING LIKE THIS HOW WILL I WORK.....COME TO ME LATER he complains and I lose the hope finally...Also one of us goes to the lab teacher to inform that Sir we may not be able to attend the class bcos of the late arrival of company.. He says Its head or tail...either you go to company or come for lab exam.. I cant help you Finally you go back for presentation of company. There also HR guy jokes.. YOU CIVIL GUYS SHOULD GO TO SINGAPORE FOR BETTER OPPORTUNITIES, YAHAN KUCH NI HAI...Presentation gets over.. they call you at 6 pm for results..Still dragging those formal you reach to know if you got selected. All the pain and tiredness would disappear...if you could just see your name in the selected list... But then comes a voice....CIVIL SE KISI KA NAHI HUA.......And you just laugh and wonder what was the day all about? I mean you werent selected..; you didnt get the attendance even though you did attend the class...you missed your lab test...your whole day was lost...SEMESTER exams are less than a week...and before you could even gather yourself..someone reminds you.... KAL DSR KO PPT PRESENT KARNA HAI....KUCH KIYA?
