BIOGRAPHY - Lucile CALLEGARI / Painter Borned into an Italian family coming from Venezia and from a lineage of Parisian only daughters. It is on the lands of the region of Bordeaux that her father, painter in her spare time, and her mother, keen on history and on travels, met at these times of May, 68. In a good and carefree years period, Lucile Callegari grows in an active intellectual and artistic environment; the travels and the multi culturalism under all its forms excites her. Qualified in Art history and Archaeology of the university of Bordeaux III, it is in contact with the associative and artistic environment that she enriched her mind. Following to an emotional, rough and irreversible shock, the creation becomes necessary to her. Self-taught, the choice of medium, the paint and the subject, the woman as a model are obvious. Work from the unconscious, her destiny catches sight of this light, the transcendency is her guide. The unique choice of the feminine portrait is oubvious to her, work on the human with the infinity of possibilities of esthetic and emotional treatment it offers. Nothing is planned in advance and the process of creation reveals her unconscious thus realized. These women are the reflection of herself, their look is the reflection of her soul. The face takes shape with rapidity and energy. The model disappears from the first touches; the real is modified and becomes only a direction, excuse for a face to face confrontation. Testimony of a lost reality transcented by the infinite variation of the feminine image, and thus became universal and timeless ; plurality of the models to make only one. It is indeed her deep and intimate nature that appears through her paintings.
