BLANKETS AND MORE FOR ANIMAL SHELTERS The first year Insight Animal Rescue had set a modest goal to collect 100 blankets for 100 shelter dogs. We reached that goal by day one and by the end of winter had reached nearly 8,000 blankets, towels, beds and then we lost count. We were able to get blankets and other items to 5 different Los Angeles city and county Animal shelters. Thanks to the amazing acts of kindness by people all over the country, every year since.. has been just as inspiring. we would love to collect as much or more then the previous years But we need your help.. correction, the animals in the concrete kennels at Los Angeles shelters need your help I could ramble on more but Ill spare you ... beside a picture is worth a thousand words. I know first hand that a lot of times it falls on us, as volunteers, rescuers and people who care a lil bit , to step up when the shelters means fall short. The dedicated and selfless volunteers basically and continually are working at the front lines of the rescue process, myself included. I was a volunteer before founding my non profit animal rescue, insight animal rescue. Not many people who run rescues actually volunteer at the shelter or vice versa, but I have been witness to both sides, one being the animals in the shelter system and the other being if and when they are rescued from it. Both side are critical in providing shelter animals with hope. So while its stressful, draining and emotionally challenging ... I do what I can as a volunteer and I also do what I can as a rescue
