BLESSED & RELIEVED Panic is dangerous... Knowledge is POWER!! I met my very first surgeon in 50.5 years of life today that liked my muscles and didnt give me shit for being too big!! We hit it off immediately and got along great and had some great communication. I did a full flexion/ full extension X Ray so we could see if there is already some fusion going on in my cervical spine... Still need to do a CT Scan and get an EMG run in a few weeks but... We have some realistic info... Best case we will do one disc at a time, walk out of hospital that day, 2 weeks recovery, multiple surgeries of course over time... Next case we do the 3 emergent discs at once, again, walk out same or next day, 2 weeks recovery in a neck brace... Worse case we do all 6 discs or maybe only do 5 and leave C2/C3 and this option is about 5 days in the hospital with a pain pump for one day then IV pain meds for 4 days and go from there. This would be a 6 week recovery in a neck brace (I was kind of looking forward to a halo) but walking as soon as I get out of the hospital... Although this is still drastic whether all at once or over a few years time I find great relief in knowing that My Surgeon is not in a panic like My Pain Doctor was and that rather than panic and go in and take everything at once he likes the idea of relieving my neuropathy issues without having to remove most of my neck mobility... We did not schedule surgery but it will either be in July or August so my plans arent going to change too much as far as Powerhouse and Daniel Gracie... I want to thank everybody for their patience with me while I was in great stress over this and thank you all also for all the warm wishes and kind words today and the past few weeks... Im here to stay and ALL of the plans that WE have moving forward will not stop, not fail, because we are doing good things and good things come to good people... ILL SEE YOU IN THE GYMS!!
