BLOOD DOESNT BIND DISTANT PEOPLE TOGETHER What makes US relatives is not blood but time spent together, yes, those moments of joy and sorrow when we stick together. One day a mother complained to me that his son doesn’t treat her like her mum and after finding out that she doesn’t spend quality time with her son I said to her ‘sorry ma, please explain what makes you his mother’ and she said, what kind of question is that, I gave birth to him, I replied, blood doesn’t makes us parents but the time we fellowshipped with our kids that do. You are not the father to the child you don’t spend time with, nor the mother to the baby you only see while he is asleep at night and before he wakes you are off to work. Paying your child’s bills doesn’t make you a responsible parent but fellowshipping with your child do. Your brother is that one that always step out for you in moments of joy and sorrow, your father is that man that despite his work will listen to you to understand you and play with you. Proverbs 27:10 says...for better is a neighbour that is near than a brother far off. Its better you are near to your kids than been far off in your place of your work, is better you are near to your wife than been far off looking for money. Keep life in balance, don’t go for money in such a way it will distant you from friends and family; a little this, a little that.
