BOB Up-Date #2: Well, it looks like my leg is continuing to heal nicely. Unfortunately, as the wound heals, it needs more specialized Physical and Occupational therapy treatment and Ive been moved out of my nice, plush, hospital room with the penthouse oceanfront view. Im now back in the older part of the hospital in what most people call long-term care, with no view of anything. The PT / OT gym is just down hall, with all its exercise equipment and torture devices. :-) Next step is to heal the wound, prepare for and get fitted for an artificial leg and then, learn how to walk all over again. :-) Been researching comedy material for jokes about amputations. Doesnt seem to be much out there. One guy suggested I get out of Stand-Up or Radio Comedy and do Lean-Against Comedy instead. (Groan) :-) Oh, I guess Ill have to come up with a new show name - no more Fats n Gang. I was weighed again this morning and weight was down to 280 since the end of January! Not counting the foot and leg loss, thats 72.3-lbs! All is going well. Really looking forward to PT help with rebuilding my body strength so I can get back to life. Again, Louise and I are totally blown away by the support, concern and help offered by so many during this bump in the road. Thank You!
